There are many fascinating plants and the atmosphere is excellent, although only about half of the garden feels truly interesting. The other section is mostly centered around a lake, with relatively little to see nearby. I would recommend visiting once, especially for the rainforest area and the laboratory next to it. The laboratory was one of the highlights, so make sure to go inside. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but the ticket price felt somewhat too high for what is offered.

So, you'd have to be about 100 years old to have seen a Florida that looked like this. Mind you, you would have also needed an experienced staff of gardeners to. This is one of the nicest and well cared for bits of hidden Florida that you well ever find. What's so special? It's so special! You will see outdoor settings that you will not see anywhere else in North America. Fairchild send a lifetime traveling the earth collecting things to stick in the ground there that would amaze visitors for the next 100 years. He succeeded and then some. Stop what you are doing right now and plan a visit to Fairchild Tropical Gardens. The only disappointment you will have is if you don't go. Life is a lot shorter than you think, beauty and wonderment like this can't be found around many corners. A friendly staff, shade, free parking and lunch, for a fee, awaits you. What you'll see is most likely something you'll not see again. Have you said thank you to yourself lately? Don't you deserve to have your breath taken away, just like those who have visited before you? Sure you do. Cheers, Kevin 😎

I visited Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden on Old Cutler Road in Coral Gables a while back, and it felt like stepping into a very calm, green world just outside the city. The place is big—bigger than I expected—so walking around takes time. The paths are easy to follow, but you definitely end up doing a lot of walking under the sun, with patches of shade that help when it gets hot. There are different sections with tropical plants, tall palms, and areas that feel a bit like a rainforest, especially near the water features. One of the more interesting parts for me was the butterfly conservatory. It’s not huge, but seeing butterflies flying around you up close makes the visit feel more special. I also liked how quiet some areas were, especially away from the main entrance, where you can just sit and hear birds and wind through the trees. That said, it’s not a “quick stop” kind of place. If you rush it, you’ll miss a lot. I also wouldn’t say everything is perfectly maintained all the time—some areas look more polished than others—but that didn’t really take away from the overall experience. It’s a nice place to slow down for a few hours, especially if you enjoy plants or just wan

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A truly exceptional botanical garden. The incredible variety of plants, palms, and tropical species is simply breathtaking, and the lush greenery throughout the grounds creates a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The butterfly exhibition is a delightful highlight. Everything is immaculately maintained—the gardens are beautifully organized, peaceful, and clearly very well managed. The staff, especially the volunteering seniors, were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding a warm personal touch to the visit. An absolute must-do spot in Miami and very well deserving of five star!

A visit to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is truly a full-day experience and well worth it! This garden is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed, offering something for everyone from plant lovers to families with young children. One of the best tips I can share: when you purchase your ticket, be sure to sign up for the complimentary tram tour. It departs every hour on the hour and takes you throughout the entire garden while knowledgeable guides point out unique plants, wildlife, and hidden gems along the way. It’s a fantastic way to get oriented and learn more about the space. Don’t miss the Sunken Garden, especially the charming fairy houses tucked throughout it feels like stepping into a storybook. There’s also an adorable fairy garden play area for children, which adds a magical touch for families. The walking paths are well-paved and easy to navigate, with additional off-the-path areas for those who want to explore a bit more. Accessibility is excellent, making it comfortable for wheelchairs and strollers. Plan to spend several hours here you could easily fill an entire day without getting bored. There’s a wonderful gift shop to browse, plus both a snack café
